Mihir Lad comes from a hardworking family of immigrants who originated from India and progressed from nothing to something through pure hard work. He believes he would be doing them a disservice if he didn't work equally as hard. A few years ago, he graduated with a degree in engineering physics and has continued to work as a full-time engineer.

However, Lad knew he wanted to get into the restaurant business and, through dumb luck and hard work, was lucky enough to realize those dreams on July 8, 2021, when he opened Arth. Although he doesn't have any business partners in this venture, he acknowledges he wouldn't be where he is without the help of mentors, chefs, bartenders, waiters, bussers, many of his staff, and of course his parents.

Arth Bar and Kitchen is a place where not only does Lad want to provide a contemporary take on Indian food, but he also wants to provide an experience that'll make guests wanting more. From food, drinks, service, ambiance, parties, events, and so much more. He thinks the Los Angeles area is in need of an upscale Indian restaurant experience that doesn't sacrifice its Desi roots, which is what he is striving to do with Arth.
