Gainesville Reads at the Northeast Georgia History Center

The Northeast Georgia History Center offers a free, one-on-one tutoring program for local students in 1st-5th grade who need assistance strengthening their literacy skills. Sessions occur on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 4:30-5:30 PM during the school year.

We appreciate your interest. Unfortunately, Gainesville Reads is not accepting new tutors for the Spring of 2025. Please apply when the application reopens in July 2025. Thank you.
Acceptance into the program is determined by when you apply and the availability of a student.
