Overview – AMR (Lindsborg EMS) and the Lindsborg Community Hospital, with input from the City of Lindsborg, are exploring a pilot paramedicine program to serve the community. Such a program could include having EMS personnel come to your home on a scheduled basis and provide a check-up on you and your health, especially if you have a chronic condition. It could include assessing vital signs like blood pressure, heart rate, weight, or other important indicators of health. They could potentially make recommendations and communicate with your primary care provider. The goal would be to reduce the need for emergency care and inpatient admission. There would be no direct charge for this service unless it led to further emergent care and/or transport to the ER.
