SF Parent Coalition knows that fixing our budget will be hard, and that not fixing it will be harder. We believe that SFUSD should:

1) Keep cuts as far away from kids as possible
2) Prevent cuts from disproportionately impacting low-income, Black, Latino/x, and other focal student populations
3) Align resources to desired student outcomes
4) Redesign central office by transparently assessing each department, finding efficiencies, limit special initiatives
5) Fix the deficit in order to maintain local control of our schools (don't let the state take over)
6) Tie every decision back to the student
