Hansberry Garden & Nature Center, Inc. 2025 Membership Application

Membership for the 2025 season will open on February 15. We will fill our membership in this order:
1) Returning members who are in good standing and opt to continue membership
2) Residents of Southwest Germantown from our waitlist, defined by these borders: Chelten Avenue to Wayne Junction; Germantown Avenue to Wissahickon Avenue (See Map)
3) Residents of the rest of Philadelphia from our waitlist

New members will join the garden collective. After one year of active membership, members will have the choice of staying in the collective or having their own 4 by 8 foot gardening bed.

The financial cost of membership is $40 per year plus a key fee of $5 for the first year. We offer financial assistance if the the membership cost presents a barrier.

Garden members are also expected to contribute at least 10 hours per year to the general maintenance of the common areas of the garden and/or advancing its mission.
