The Quassaick Creek Greenway

The Quassaick Creek Greenway is a community vision for a trail along the Quassaick Creek. A greenway is a corridor of land preserved for recreational use and environmental protection. The Quassaick Creek is a 22-mile tributary to the Hudson River and flows through the City of Newburgh and Town of New Windsor.

For many years, community members have envisioned a trail along this creek. Extending from the Hudson River to Snake Hill Preserve, this 2-mile greenway will provide many benefits by increasing access to nature for surrounding communities. The Quassaick Creek Greenway is a project facilitated by a steering committee of local community members from Newburgh and New Windsor and representatives from Scenic Hudson, Orange County, Orange County Land Trust, City of Newburgh, Town of New Windsor, and the Quassaick Creek Watershed Alliance.
