What is MEMSI?
MEMSI is a two-week-long, intensive tech entrepreneurship bootcamp for aspiring entrepreneurs who attend MIT or one of the UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong. The program is designed for those who want to advance their skills in entrepreneurship, prototyping, product development and business modelling in the context of a real-world industry challenge.
MEMSI 2025 will run from January 13 - 25, 2025, culminating in a Showcase Pitch on January 25th.
Student Venture Teams must be present at the Showcase, and attend the below sessions
A minimum of 2 teammates must be present at each of these sessions (Schedule TBC):
1. "Who is your customer?" Tuesday, Jan 14, 09:30 - 10:30
2. "What can you do for your customer?" Thursday, Jan 16, 09:30 - 10:30
3. "How do you reach your customer?" Friday, Jan 17, 09:30 - 10:30
4. "Making Money Product Roadmap" Saturday, Jan 18, 09:30 - 10:30
5. "Mock Pitch 1" Thursday, Jan 23, 16:00 - 18:00
6. "Mock Pitch 2" Friday, Jan 24, 14:00 - 16:00
Who may apply?
Undergraduate and graduate students in degree-bearing programs at any of our partner universities in Hong Kong (CityU, CUHK, EdUHK, HKBU, HKU, HKUST, LingU, PolyU) may apply as a TEAM.
You will need to have a pre-formed startup team, the idea should be a relevant application for the aviation sector.
