Welcome to the
Parking Action Tool

You can use this tool to assess your council’s parking policies to see if enough is being done to tackle climate change.

Before you begin, you’ll need to find and read the documents that set out your local authority’s parking policy. You’ll find some helpful tips on locating policy documents in the Useful Guidance doc. To save the guidance doc to your computer, click on the link, go to the File menu, choose Download, and select your option from the menu of formats.

Then come back to this tool where, referring to the parking policy documents, you'll answer a series of questions that assess parking policy in your area. (Top tip: check out the Useful Guidance doc where we’ve collated lots of helpful advice to make it easier to fill in the tool).

At the end, you’ll be given the option to send a ready-made email to your local councillors with a Parking Action Plan, along with the assessment score.
